Wednesday meeting to address local water needs

DALLAS - The Board of Directors of the Sunrise Municipal Utility District meets in Dallas tonight to discuss plans to build a new dam and reservoir in southwest Hunt County.

The status of an application to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality will be addressed, which will help determine where the water to fill the lake will come from.

Developers approached the Cash Special Utility District in August concerning an expansion plan which included a new 300-400 acre lake to supply the development.
