GREENVILLE - A Rains County woman has been convicted on federal charges for illegally selling firearms at area flea markets.
53-year-old Margaret Lanette Gunter was arrested in Emory in August 2011, where more than one hundred weapons and a large amount of ammunition were recovered.
She pleaded guilty Tuesday to selling firearms without a federal firearms license. Gunter admitted to assisting a co-defendant who was selling firearms at public markets in Quinlan and at the First Monday Trade Fair in Canton.
She faces up to five years in federal prison. A sentencing date has not been set.
