GREENVILLE - A man has been transported to the emergency room at Hunt Regional Medical Centerafter being shot Thursday afternoon in 1200 block of Coleman Street.
Greenville Public Information Office Lori Philyaw tells KETR the gunshot wound is non-life threatening.
Authorities were called to the scene at 2:20 p.m. The victim is described as a 24-year-old black male. There was no word of any suspects at the time.
No other information was immediately available.
At around 3:30 p.m., this Facebook post described what was believed to be a search for a weapon by officers with the Greenville Police Department in culverts, mailboxes, trash cans and bushes.
