TAMUC Marketing Communications

COMMERCE - The Industrial Engineering program at Texas A&M University-Commerce has received a six-year reaccreditation from the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET based on evaluations from the 2011-2012 academic year.

“ABET is the accrediting body for engineering programs, both nationally and internationally,” said Dr. Brent Donham, head of the Department of Engineering and Technology. “ABET accreditation provides validation that the Industrial Engineering program at A&M-Commerce meets the standards required for graduates entering the engineering profession.”

The Industrial Engineering program is housed in the Department of Engineering & Technology, and became a part of the newly-formed College of Science, Engineering and Agriculture in June 2011. The program has approximately 109 majors. The Department also offers degrees in Construction Engineering and Technology Management.
