One man died and a woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash on State Highway 24 near Campbell on Sunday, Dept. of Public Safety Sgt. Kyle Bradford said.

At about 12:44 a.m., DPS troopers responed to the scene of a major crash on State Highway 24, about a mile southwest of Campbell, Bradford said. Officers found a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer that had been traveling southbound on SH 24, he said. The vehicle had traveled onto the center media and had overturned, he said.

The driver was taken to Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville with minor non-life-threatening injuries, Bradford said. The passenger, David Lane II, age 28, of Commerce, was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.

No further information about the victims or the accident was made available.
