Texas A&M Unuiversity-Commerce has released its COVID-19 policy for the Fall 2021 semester. The plan features a provision that all A&M-Commerce students, faculty and staff participate in a mandatory COVID-19 testing program.
On Aug. 13, university president Mark Rudin emailed staff with the following message:
Dear Lion Family,
Recently, we received guidance from Chancellor Sharp and The Texas A&M University System regarding planning for Fall 2021. In accordance with that guidance, we have developed the attached document, entitled “Fall 2021 COVID-19 Management and Guidance Plans” in order to communicate with the university community the plan for the fall semester.
Please note that all decisions made are based on CDC, State, A&M System, and local county health protocols. We will continue to provide updates as changes occur.
Thank you for your commitment to our university. I look forward to working with you in our shared efforts to make A&M-Commerce the best place to learn and work.
The complete policy document, which was attached to the above email, can be found here.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
