Greenville I-S-D voters will have a big bond initiative on ballots this May.
The bond package totals more than $169 million dollars worth of improvements. Greenville ISD board members approved the bond proposal unanimously earlier this week.
Topping the list of items, a brand new Greenville Middle School and a new pre-K facility to replace the L.P. Waters Early Childhood Center. Both of the buildings slated for possible replacement are 72 years old.
Also in the package – interior renovations for Greenville High School, a new ag science center capable of raising livestock and improvement to the district’s transportation services building.
Voters will decide on the bond proposal in the May 7 municipal elections.
