Texas A&M-Commerce associate professor of counseling Dr. LaVelle Hendricks says studies show about one-third of college students suffer from depression.  Major ways to fight depression, Dr. Hendricks says, are to eat right, exercise and get involved with at least one campus organization.  The University Counseling Center for students is located in the Halladay Student Services Building.  A general counseling center for others is located in Binnion Hall.
