Another round of campus construction underway

COMMERCE - As progress of various summer construction projects on the Texas A&M University-Commerce campus continue, yet another phase begins.

Director of Facilities David McKenna announced this week that the next leg of the Walking Mall is underway, as well as work on an amphitheater.

Crews are taking advantage of the slower summer months to lay the groundwork for a new residence, plus install new entrance signs to campus. A new parking lot and some curb and sidewalks have already been completed.

The Walking Mall will be extended in the street area between the AG/IT Building and the site of the old Music Building. Work on the amphitheater project will involve a large section of the bowl area just north of the Business Administration Building.
