Lori Cope with the Court Appointed Special Advocates of Hunt County (CASA) and Amy Ramsey of the Hunt County Children's Advocacy Center say April is Child Abuse Prevention month. Friday, April 8 is "National Go Blue Day," to raise awareness of child abuse, and Sunday, April 24 is "Blue Sunday" in which churches are asked to pray for victims of child abuse and the people who serve them. Amy says only two percent of children who are victims of sexual attacks or other physical abuse are attacked by strangers.
