"Hot Rod Lincoln" was the song that put Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen on the map in the 1970's, a time which guitarist and singer/songwriter Bill Kirchen recalls fondly. Now a solo artist, Bill has lived in Austin since 2011 and just reunited with musical partner Austin De Lone on their new Transatlanticana album.Recorded in both Austin and London, the record is chock full of rock, boogie-woogie, Americana and country influences, and features guests such as Butch Hancock from The Flatlanders, and Texas producer and multi-instrumentalist Gurf Morlix.
