It was just an ordinary Tuesday morning at the Floral Depot and Gift Shoppe in Cooper when employee Linda Waller discovered evidence of an unwelcome customer. The Floral Depot and Gift Shoppe had break-in, and the thief was literally playing "possum."
Initially, the culprit was misidentified as a raccoon calling in the local Game Warden Chris Fried, Delta County Sheriff's Deputy Colton Spinks and Constable Ben Snow to the rescue. Others present were Gaylon Maddox of the Floral Depot and Jim Butler of Cooper Review.
The critter had somehow made its way into the store through the ceiling and was surprisingly discovered in the restroom behind the toilet.
Fortunately, only a few Christmas ornaments were harmed and it was returned to the wild.
