CHAOS Program For Teens Is Funded By Commerce Community Cares

The search for a new Commerce Chief of Police has been narrowed to four candidates.

Angela Price of the Commerce Police Departmentdiscusses the CHAOS(Commerce Helping Adolescents Overcome and Succeed) program for kids 12-17 years old.  The program has 14 young people participating this summer and will conclude on Thursday.  Dick Latson with Commerce Community Cares says the charitable organization provided $2,500 this year for CHAOS. The deadline for organizations to apply for funding for 2018 is August 8.  Applications are at the Commerce Chamber of Commerce office.

John Mark Dempsey is the host of the public interest program The Blacklands Café from KETR News. Dempsey is also the play-by-play announcer for Commerce Tigers Football on 88.9 FM and on ketr.org.
