Collin County Voters OK $750M in Bonds

Collin County

Collin County voters Tuesday passed three county bond propositions that will put $740 million into county road projects.

The largest proposal was a $600 million spending packages destined to be part of the county’s limited-access roadway projects. These are roads that typically bypass or expand more congested or intersection-heavy routes.

Most of the money will pay for environmental studies and feasibility studies, as well as road design.

A second bond puts $140 million towards the county’s arterial roads, which connect county roads to larger highways.

Voters passed a third bond that opens $10 million to go towards parks and recreation spaces.

Collin County's bonds were among more than $20 billion in road-centered bonds passed by voters across the country Tuesday.
