Commerce robbery suspects apprehended

COMMERCE - Two suspects wanted for an alleged robbery in the 900 block of Martin Luther King St. last month have been arrested.

25-year-old Kandaris Antoine Crosby and 22-year-old Dante Lamar Crosby, both of Commerce, were taken into custody Sunday afternoon.

According to a release from the Police Department, each has been jailed on $45,000 bond, with Kandaris Crosby also facing another $10,000 bond on a charge of public lewdness. They remained at the Hunt County Jail at last report.

The victim’s accounts along with information received by officers led to the issuing of the warrants. One of the victims of the robbery, Geoffrey Theodore Grochowski of Troupe, Texas was arrested for possession of approximately 2 3/8 ounces of Marijuana after officers determined he had the marijuana in his possession. During questioning, Grochowski admitted to being in Commerce to sell the marijuana. A subsequent investigation revealed the marijuana may have been the motive for the robbery, but after failing to locate it, the suspects fled.
