Company eyes jobs boost as groundbreaking nears

GREENVILLE - The anticipated $26 million expansion of a Greenville manufacturing facility is set to get underway Tuesday.

Upon completion of an additional 105,000 square feet this summer, Weatherford Artificial Lift Systems will have the capacity and demand to bring in another 100 jobs. That’s double the plant’s current workforce.

Weatherford is a major supplier of oil and gas drilling equipment and production services. The company has been in Greenville for more than 25 years.

Groundbreaking next Tuesday, January 31 is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the plant site in Greenville along U.S. Highway 380.
