Rockin’ CF to Sleep concert held last Saturday night downtown Sulphur Springs was such a great success organizers are already counting on making it an annual event. Southern Soul, comprised of two Delta County’s finest – Sergeant Investigator Ryan Brown and Deputy Adam Hall along with band mates Jacob Mazoch and Sal Castro, performed as well as Seth Welborn and Tyler and the Tribe at the concert on the Celebration Stage downtown Sulphur Springs to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation research.
Currently there is no cure for Cystic Fibrosis – a genetic disorder that affects mostly the lungs but also the pancreas, liver, kidneys and intestine. This illness is known for creating lung problems significantly shortening life spans.
Deputy Adam Hall said they were showing support for their friend and fellow singer/songwriter Seth Welborn, who has the illness. Together they raised $2,416 through donations and a silent auction.
The surprise of the night was having members from all the bands hit the stage and sing together, truly entertaining for the audience under the starry skies as temperatures dropped from the triple digits as the sun sat Saturday.
