Cooper ISD Recognizes National FFA Week

A convoy of tractors cleared the path to Cooper High School through the rain last Thursday morning in honor of National FFA Week.

Instructor Billy Fowler and student Gus Young were spotted rolling into the campus parking lot. Tractors were provided courtesy of Rocky Young with RY Construction.

Fowler and his students also expressed appreciation to the Cooper ISD Board of Trustees with crafted metal lamps they created.

On Tuesday morning, Feb. 20 the Cooper FFA Alumni (a new organization) served breakfast to the teachers at Cooper ISD.

The Cooper FFA Alumni currently has 16 members with Hillary Murray serving as president. It is not necessary to have been in National FFA. This was established to serve similar to that of athletic or band boosters, and the dues are $20. The Cooper FFA Alumni will support students involved in the agriculture studies.

Find out more on their Cooper FFA Alumni Facebook page. See more from the FFA and 4-H programs at the upcoming annual Delta County Fair and Bobby Wigley Memorial Jr. Livestock Show on Saturday, April 14, 2018.
