Crash South Of Greenville Kills 2, Injures 1

Two people died and another person was injured as a result of a motor vehicle accident early Saturday morning south of Greenville.

A Texas Department of Public Safety statement said the accident happened on State Highway 34, near the intersection with County Road 2186, at 2:49 a.m. Feb. 27.

Names and other details about the dead and injured were not immediately available.

Dylan Mark Owen, 22, of Cooper was arrested at the scene. Owen is being held in the Hunt County Detention Center on $250,000 bond on two counts of intoxication manslaughter and one count of intoxication assault.

Sgt. Kyle Bradford said Owen was driving a 2006 Chevrolet pickup northbound on the highway when he crossed over into the southbound lane and struck a Honda Accord.
