Delta County library continues to seek funding

COOPER - Wednesday’s monthly fundraising luncheon for the Delta County Public Library was the last of the summer, due to low attendance.

All the food is purchased by the library.

Citizens are invited to utilize the many services offered at the facility as they work to gain financial stability. DVDs, VHS tapes and genealogy and cemetery books are available during normal business hours. Furthermore, officials with the Ark-Tex Area of Aging Agency are on hand the second Tuesday of each month.

There are also new summer hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursdays.

Continued fundraising efforts at the Delta County Public Library comes as the Commerce Public Library, while operationally sound, is seeking funding to improve the 95 year old structure in which they’re located.
