Arlington is "no longer moving forward" in its bid for Amazon.

The City of Arlington pulled out of consideration to host Amazon HQ2 Tuesday.

Arlington was one of two dozen cities in the DFW region hoping to lure the online retailer’s second home. But after offering an incentive package worth nearly a billion dollars and a full break on business and personal property taxes for a decade, the city announced that it was "no longer moving forward in the selection process."

The Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex is still in contention as a region. The Metroplex is up against 19 other cities to host Hq2.
