In the first episode of 2016, Texas A&M University-Commerce president Dr. Dan Jones invited Greenville mayor David Dreiling to be a guest on Jones' monthly radio show, The President's Perspective.

Together, Jones and Dreiling discuss the growing number of businesses opening in Greenville and the idea that the Hunt county seat is now a retail destination, rather than a wide spot in the road on the way to more metropolitan areas. The two also discuss the mayor's take on the University's proposed charter STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) academy, which, if approved, would open in Greenville in the fall of 2017.

The President's Perspective is Jones' monthly half-hour radio program, produced at KETR's studios in Binnion Hall on the campus of Texas A&M University-Commerce.
