Hunt County Master GardenerByron Chitwood says now is the time to start planting for fall gardens.  He says in many ways, fall gardening is better than gardening in the spring, because the cooler weather later in the fall is beneficial to the plants.  Some of the best fall vegetables to plant include collard greens, broccoli, cabbage, Brussels sprouts and even tomatoes.  And Byron says it you want to sew wildflower seeds, in particular bluebonnets, now is the time, by early September.
