Filling boxes to Help Those in Need

HCSMfish.org

Volunteers are expected to be busy this week, filling the boxes which will provide extra food to families in need this Christmas.

The individuals will man an assembly line Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings on the loading dock behind the GEUS David McCalla Building on Wesley Street, to assemble and fill hundreds of boxes for needy families.

Wally Jeffers, executive director of Hunt County Shared Ministries (FISH) — one of 21 charities, service organizations and businesses who have combined forces this year — said any and all help would be welcome during this week’s effort.

The baskets will be distributed to pre-registered families on Dec. 22.

Those wanting more information, or who may want to make a donation or volunteer to assist with Hunt County Gives, can call 903-455-0545.
