Frances Dalbey, the executive director of the Hunt County United Way, says the United Way will conduct free child-car seat checks at the Hunt Regional Emergency Center in Commerce from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday (Oct. 21). Education will be provided on the proper use of the seat. Free car seats from the Texas Department of Transportation will be available for people who qualify.
