Friday afternoon rain results in highwater rescues in Hunt County

Friday evening brought dangerous lightning, heavy rains, and a few automobile rescues to Northeast Texas.

As a slow moving low pressure system moved through the region, many roads were covered with water, prompting a few water rescues.

Hunt County officials say that as of 7 PM Friday night, 3 high-water rescues, and multiple stalled vehicles were reported, but thankfully, no one has been injured. We will keep you up to date on information from other counties once the system has moved through.

If you have any pictures of the flooding or if you have any information regarding the floods, email daniel@ketr.org.

Have a blessed day and stay safe!
