Grayson County Votes to Widen 75

On Tuesday Grayson County Commissioners OK’d plans to widen parts of U.S. Highway 75. The Texas Department of Transportation is looking to widen the highway, up to six lanes. The project will cover the four-mile stretch between FM 14-17 and Texoma Parkway.

County Judge Bill Magers says expanding the highway isn’t just about traffic, it’s also about business. Wider highways, he says, draw companies looking to expaqnd to a county.

The $161 million project  will also see a few exchanges lengthened and some more left turn lanes added.
