Greenville firefighters to compete in Big D Stair Climb

DALLAS - Greenville’s Firefighter Combat Challenge Team RackSolutions will be competing in the Big D Stair Climb Saturday morning in Dallas.

Just four years after the event brought in 187 people it is now about 1,000 climbers strong. In 2011, sponsors and climbers raised $100,000 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society® (LLS) is the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services. The LLS mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Since its founding in 1949, LLS has invested more than $600 million in research specifically targeting leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

Events like the Big D Climb help fund LLS's research initiatives, patient services and education programs. We are extremely grateful to our many generous donors, participants and sponsors who have made our work possible.

The event will be held at the Fountain Place, 1445 Ross Avenue, Dallas, Texas, on Saturday, January 28, 2012, beginning at 8 a.m.

Firefighters participating in the event are Stephen Langford, Craig Himes, Derek Sheets, Clint Dawson and Todd Morgan. Morgan’s wife Shannon is also participating.

The team is accepting donations for the event. Donations can be made here.

Team RackSolutions thanks the citizens of Greenville for their continued support. Please call 903-457-2940 for more information.
