Dana Hubbard and guitar

Since he relocated to Amarillo around 2009, singer/songwriter/finger style blues guitarist Dana Hubbard has been pleasantly surprised by the welcome his music has received, and is proud to call Texas his new home.

Hubbard is scheduled to perform at Harmony House Concerts on Sunday, May 17th, and he checked in with Notably Texan leading up to the show. His glowing personality is not only prevalent in his songs, but also in his interview. Topics covered include Dana's roots and early band "The Delta Twisters", how he chose to live in Texas, his love for public radio, and some of the unorthodox recording techniques used on his album "Lightnin's Cadillac."

More info about Dana's show at Harmony House can be found at their website. Dana Hubbard's full tour schedule and more is available through his site.

Listen to Notably Texan, weekdays from Noon to 3pm on KETR.

Born in Dallas, Texas, Matt moved to the Sulphur Springs area in 1990 and settled in Commerce shortly thereafter. Having dreamed of working in radio since childhood, he began working at KETR while taking Radio-Television courses at Texas A&M University-Commerce in 1993. Matt has transitioned from a part-time worker and pupil of KETR, to the station’s Chief Announcer/Producer and supervisor of student broadcasters. A familiar voice of 88-9 KETR, Matt has hosted such shows as The Late Nite Lion, and can currently be heard as host of Notably Texan.
