Hunt County Highways Due For Repairs

HUNT COUNTY - Highways in Commerce and Quinlan are the objects of a $2.6 million contract scheduled to begin this week.

The Texas Department of Transportationannounced Thursday that contractors will mill the three mile surface of Loop 178/Culver Street in Commerce, and then overlay with hot mix and place new pavement markings. The project runs from SH 224 to the new SH 11.

The same process will take place in Quinlan along SH 276 East from SH 34 to Oakwood Lane (CR 3609), about a 3.6 mile stretch.

The contractor, RK Hall Construction, LLC, has 63 working days to complete the project, which is expected in October.
