Hunt County Public Art Has Achieved Its Goal

Hunt County Public Art

Hunt County Public Art has announced new projects for 2019, "You Be You" by Laura Irrgang and "Horns and All" by Pamela Edwards, which will be created on the walls behind the Uptown Forum in downtown Greenville.  Derek Price, one of the leaders of Hunt County Public Art, says the organization has achieved the goals it set to encourage major art projects in public places, and is ending its efforts after this year's projects.  One of the latest projects is the bois d'arc tree painting by David Zvanut in a window of the Commerce Public Library, seen here.

John Mark Dempsey is the host of the public interest program The Blacklands Café from KETR News. Dempsey is also the play-by-play announcer for Commerce Tigers Football on 88.9 FM and on ketr.org.
