Improved thoroughfare a good thing? Not for everyone

GREENVILLE - A second meeting is planned between transportation officials and residents upset about the Interstate 30/Wesley Street project in Hunt County.

And for the second time, Greenville City Manager Steven Alexander will serve as moderator. In February, the dispute concerned the lack of a left turn at the intersection of Kari Lane and Wesley Street.

On Thursday, home owners along the interstate’s north service road intend to discuss the placement of the westbound Wesley Street exit ramp, as well as the speed limit set for exit 93 and drainage issues. The meeting begins Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Greenville Municipal Building.
