Investigation Continues in Greenville Toddler's Drowning

Letaro Micky

GREENVILLE - A popular lake for fishing in Greenville where a toddler drowned one month ago remains closed as the Texas Municipal League, the city’s insurance company, continues their investigation.

On June 11, 3-year-old Letaro Micky was fishing with his parents at Greenville Municipal Reservoir No. 4 when he fell into the south side of the small pond adjacent to the reservoir. A swift current pulled him away from the reach of his father. It took authorities until the next day to locate his body.

A benefit account remains open for the family of Micky at both Alliance Bank locations in town.

This week also marks the 1 year anniversary of the drowning of a 9-year-old girl at the Commerce Swimming Pool. Diamond Bronstonmanaged to get through the closed fence outside of business hours. She was found submerged in 13 feet of water when emergency personnel arrived.
