Jetta In The Ghost Tree's debut does not disappoint

When his former band Flickerstick went their separate ways in 2010, lead singer Brandin Lea put his own health and wellbeing on center stage. Diagnosed as bi-polar and manic depressive, and experiencing a few close calls due to his alcohol habit, Lea opted to kick the booze and start fresh with his new psychedelic rock band- Jetta In The Ghost Tree.

Lea and company have opted to make the music they want to make on their new album "Clandestine, Vol.1," with Idol Records giving them the full creative control they needed. The result is a collection of songs ranging from spooky to melodic to straight ahead rock n roll. Brandin's distinct voice settles in perfectly with the instrumentation, leaving you clamoring for Volume 2 - but you'll need to wait until later in 2015 for that release.

Brandin Lea and Jetta In The Ghost Tree guitarist Eric Webb spoke with Notably Texan in the KETR studios about the new record, the ever changing music business, and upcoming shows.

More information about the band can be found at their Facebook page.

Notably Texan is heard weekdays from Noon-3pm on KETR.
