Juneteenth, 'Trust-Understand-Respect' to be observed Saturday, June 27 in Commerce

Texas A&M University-Commerce associate professor of counseling and pastor Dr. LaVelle Hendricks discusses the history of Juneteenth in Texas, and plans for the Commerce celebration on Saturday, June 27, in conjunction with the rescheduled Trust-Understand-Respectrally that Dr. Hendricks has organized to promote good relations between the police and minorities.  A Juneteenth observance takes place today (Friday, June 19th) at 1 p.m. in Greenville's Graham Park.
