Library Hosts Open House

The Delta County Public Library is known for their delicious monthly fundraising Thursday lunches, but now there is more to celebrate as they will be hosting a Christmas Open House. Head Librarian Lydia Toon and her staff have planned a Thursday afternoon event on Dec. 14 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. for complimentary refreshments from sweets to coffee and hot cider.

Everyone is welcome. They have even created an inviting poem in honor of the occasion.

Christmas comes just once a year.

Come help us spread some holiday cheer.

An “Open House” we’ve planned for you.

We want you to come; we do, we do!

We thank you all for our really great year;

We want you to see we think you’re so dear.

Sweet goodies we’ll have for you to eat;

Hot cider and coffee and punch our treat.

Thursday, December 14 is the date

From 1:30 to 3:30; so don’t be late.

Please mark your calendars and plan to attend

To get ready for 2018 to begin.

In addition to guests can purchase the Town and Country Garden Club’s recipe book that is on sale for $20 and is a perfect gift-giving item.
