Former Texas State Musician Sara Hickman took time to chat with Notably Texan this week from her home in Austin, and brought along her typically infectious bright and positive personality.

Sara checked in on the verge of her latest appearance at Harmony House Concerts, a small music venue located outside Bonham. Matt Meinke and Sara covered topics such as her favorite music listens of late, her ties to A&M-Commerce (when it was still East Texas State University), her latest record releases, and plenty more.

Details on Sara's Harmony House Concert are available in the KETR Events Calendar.

Notably Texan is heard weekday from Noon to 3pm on KETR.

Born in Dallas, Texas, Matt moved to the Sulphur Springs area in 1990 and settled in Commerce shortly thereafter. Having dreamed of working in radio since childhood, he began working at KETR while taking Radio-Television courses at Texas A&M University-Commerce in 1993. Matt has transitioned from a part-time worker and pupil of KETR, to the station’s Chief Announcer/Producer and supervisor of student broadcasters. A familiar voice of 88-9 KETR, Matt has hosted such shows as The Late Nite Lion, and can currently be heard as host of Notably Texan.
