An unusual accident in Wood County sent a tree trimmer to the hospital Monday.
The state Department of Public safety says a man trimming trees on Farm to Market 49 near Mineola was hit by a truck that swerved to avoid him in the first place.
The man reportedly saw the truck coming at him and tried to jump out of the way. But he jumped in the direction the truck was heading and was struck.
The man was flown to the hospital in Tyler. DPS has released no other information.
