One person died and another was seriously injured as a result of a vehicle accident on Interstate 30 in Greenville on Monday morning.
The accident happened at about 9:30 a.m. near the 95-mile marker, on the westbound side of the highway.
A Ford Exposition struck a disabled tractor-trailer that was on the highway’s shoulder, Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Kyle Bradford said. A passenger in the Ford Exposition was killed, while the driver was airlifted to Plano Medical Center, Bradford said. The driver is expected to survive, he said.
A Kia sedan struck debris from the accident, but there were no injuries, Bradford said.
The west side of the interstate was closed for more than an hour, officials said. No further details were immediately available.
