Plano Tops List of Safest U.S. Cities

WikiCommons

Personal finance website WalletHub ranked Plano the third safest city in America in a new study out Monday. The Collin County city ranks first overall in home and community safety -- but 113th for natural disaster risk.

Two Texas cities fared well in WalletHub’s rankings when it comes to inclusion and tolerance. El Paso and Corpus Christi were first and fourth, respectively, in cities with the fewest hate crimes.

Meanwhile, Brownsville, Laredo, and Dallas joined two Florida cities for having the highest percentages of uninsured residents. Amarillo was one of the worst cities in the country for traffic fatalities.
