A police chase through Rockwall and Hunt Counties Saturday ended when a Wills Point man crashed near Quinlan. The chase that led to that crash reportedly stemmed from a different crash earlier.
Police say 29-year-old Endre Stempl had a single-vehicle crash outside Rockwall City early Saturday morning. That crash severely injured a female passenger whom police say might not survive.
Police say Stempl reportedly drove away from that site and led officers on a chase to the Quinlan area. There, they say, Stempl lost control and drove into a culvert. He died from injuries at the scene.
