Red Flag Warning, Wind Advisory in effect Thursday

Daniel Starks

KETR

The region is in for windy conditions on Thursday, and areas to the west of the region will experience very dry conditions as well.

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday for these areas, including Collin County. This means that any fires that start will spread quickly and could threaten property and even life.

Make sure you dispose of cigarettes properly, do not burn anything outdoors, and be mindful sparks during construction projects.

While a Red Flag Warning is in effect, a Wind Advisory has been placed on top of it, which also includes the rest of Northeast Texas. This is in effect from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday evening
