Reports on Racial Profiling Delivered Tuesday

The annual update concerning incidents of racial profiling within Hunt County are scheduled to go to the Hunt County Commissioners Court on Tuesday.

Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks and/or Captain Lana Adams and County Constable Precinct 2 Mike Pierce will present reports during Tuesday's regular session, which starts at 10 a.m. in the Auxiliary Courtroom, 2700 Johnson Street in Greenville.

The Commissioners also intend to transfer some additional funding to the newly-appointed chief deputy. In order to comply with the Texas Racial Profiling Law, law enforcement agencies across the state are required to collect contact data. These reports will cover the period between January 1 and December 31, 2011.
