Roads remain iced - no thaw until Tuesday

Roadways across the region remain iced - with no thaw expected until midday on Tuesday. Many counties east of Dallas received more than half an inch of sleet on Sunday.

The National Weather Service forecasts high temperatures regionally in the mid to upper 20s on Monday. Combined with winds out of the north 10-20 MPH, those temperatures should result in wind chill values in the single digits all day on Monday.

The overnight forecast predicts lows in the low 20s, with winds expected to become calm overnight. On Tuesday, skies should be mostly sunny, with afternoon high temperatures in the mid 40s.
