Texas A&M-Commerce head football coach Colby Carthel has stated his intention to start former Sulphur Springs High School standout Tyrik Rollison at quarterback against Sul Ross State on Sept. 7.
Most recently, Rollison was named a third-team All-American at Tyler Junior College. The 6-3, 220-pound junior has previously attended Auburn University in Auburn, Ala., and Sam Houston State in Huntsville.
Ar Sulphur Springs, Rollison threw for 4,728 yards and 51 touchdowns as a senior while helping the Wildcats to the 2008 4A state championship.
