HUNT COUNTY - Another case of animal cruelty in Hunt County is under investigation for the second time in the last few weeks.
A neglected pony was found near Commerce on Tuesday after authorities received a call from a concerned citizen. Director of Hunt County’s Office of Homeland Security Richard Hill says the pony was located along CR 4220.
The SPCA said Tuesday that while the situation was not immediately life-threatening for the animal, they would work to have a resolution within 24 hours. Officials were attempting to contact the owner of the pony at last report.
