SSISD names new superintendent

Forney ISD

SULPHUR SPRINGS - The Sulphur Spring ISD Board has named Forney ISD Administrator Michael Lamb their lone finalist to become the district’s next superintendent.

Lamb has worked in central administration at Forney since 2008. He was one of dozens of applicants seeking the vacancy left by retiring Superintendent Patsy Bolton, who has spent a total of 43 years with Sulphur Springs ISD.

Lamb’s career in education began as a math instructor 16 years ago. He worked at schools in Wills Point, Lindale, McKinney and Huntsville before moving to Forney.

The Sulphur Springs board can officially hire Lamb April 23, after the state required 21-day waiting period.
