Sulphur Springs Ready To Take Over 5,000 Acre Thermo Coal Mine

Sulphur Springs Mayor Pro-Tem Emily Glass says the city is ready to take over possession of the former Thermo coal mineowned by Luminant Mining.  The city is studying possible uses of the 5,000-acre property, including its use as a park.  Also, the annual Fall Festival begins Saturday, and concludes with the Hopkins County Stew Content on Saturday, October 27.
