Today, we pledge

88.9 KETR's listeners and supporters are in a mad dash to raise the last $40,000 of this year's federally-mandated $100,000 goal by the end of August. Today's Summer One-Day Drive goal: $5,000.

Please make your contribution now - it only takes 2 minutes!

The good news is that the station has managed, though corporate support, successful fall and spring membership campaigns, and some very generous individuals (writing checks to the tune of $1,000 and $5,000) to raise nearly $60,000 this year so far!

As always, incentive gifts are available when you make an online contribution. New this year, you can also sponsor a day of programming on 88.9!

We're thrilled to see the sort of support we've witnessed over the past few months and years, and we hold firmly to our obligation to steward the dollars we raise from our community back into service for our region.

More about the federal goal: The station has a new federally-mandated goal to raise nearly $100,000 annually in membership gifts and corporate support. When that happens, the station remains eligible for the Community Service Grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, worth more than $200,000. The Grant is what we use to pay for the high-quality NPR programs you hear each day, like Morning Edition and All Things Considered. The Grant also covers the cost of equipment and service agreements that make 88.9 KETR the region's premier source for news and vital weather information. And the Grant keeps 10 highly-skilled radio announcers, producers, and reporters employed each year.

Please give now, give generously, and thank you.
