Two day memorial for Lightning Medicine Cloud extended

May 9, 2012

GREENVILLE - A planned anniversary turned memorial for a sacred white buffalo now includes a public service Sunday morning at the Lakota Ranch.

The previous two days will also serve as a way for people to remember Lightning Medicine Cloud and his mother, Buffalo Woman, during the 18th Annual Greenville Scholarship Native American Powwow.

A report is still forthcoming from a veterinarian detailing how the two animals were killed. They were found dead last week.

Donations continue to come in which has helped Arby Little Soldier, owner of the Lakota Ranch, increase the reward leading to those responsible to $45,000.
